The minimum stay requirement for any short-term vacation rental unit located within the City limits of Sarasota is 7 Full Days and 7 Full Nights, as per City of Sarasota Zoning Code Section II-304(b)(1) and Section VI-202(b).

"The Performers" and "Fun in the Sun" by David Lee These companion murals transform a Main Street alleyway into a celebration of the city’s past. On one side, The Performers pays homage to Sarasota’s legendary circus history. Around the corner, Fun in the Sun transports viewers to a nostalgic beachside paradise.
"Amphitrite" by Truman Adams Local artist Truman Adams takes a contemporary approach to a classical subject with his mural Amphitrite, painted on the west-facing wall of a city-owned lift station. Visible from US-41, the goddess of the sea is represented as a Greek sculpture surrounded by coral.

Engineering Engineering staff regulates the public Rights-of-Way within the City of Sarasota, including streets, alleys, parkways, sidewalks, drainage facilities, and other infrastructure.
Capital Projects The Capital Projects Division consists of a team of project coordinators, engineering technicians, and construction inspectors. We oversee the design and construction of infrastructure projects and are responsible for implementing the Public Works Department’s capital improvement plan.
