Notice is hereby given that an Emergency Special Meeting of the City Commission shall be held as authorized by Article III, Section 9(b), of the City Charter, on Monday, June 29, 2020 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. via video conference technology to discuss the following: I.1. Proposed Ordinance regarding Emergency and Temporary Mask-Wearing; and I.2. Discussion Re: Future Commission Meetings; any other matters that may come before the Body. The video conference is allowable under Executive Order No. 20-69 issued by Governor DeSantis on March 20, 2020 and extended under Executive Order No. 20-150.
Citizens may provide input to Commissioners on city topics not on the agenda and on published agenda items in advance of the meeting and during the meeting using the City Commission Remote Meeting Protocols on file in the City Auditor and Clerk's office and published on the city’s website. Citizens may view and listen to the proceedings via live streaming through the City's website or on the Public Access Television Channel. The City will be following the CDC guidelines, and City Commissioners and staff will participate via remote video conference. Citizens who come to City Hall to give in person input will be required to wear face coverings while inside City Hall. “Face covering” shall mean a uniform piece of material that securely covers a person’s nose and mouth and remains affixed in place without the use of one’s hands, whether store-bought or homemade, concurrent with CDC guidelines.
