Longtime City of Sarasota executive staff member Doug Jeffcoat was appointed Interim City Manager following the retirement of City Manager Marlon Brown.

Jeffcoat has been employed with the City for 29 years, the last 14 as the Public Works Director, overseeing streets and highways, capital improvement projects, engineering, transportation planning, fleet services, and solid waste.
