The City of Sarasota's Public Art Ordinance No. 19-5290 currently requires any developer who applies to the City for a building permit to construct or make improvements to a multi-dwelling structure, mixed use development, commercial building, or non-residential portion of a mixed use building that exceed $1,000,000.00 to contribute one-half of one percent (0.05%) to public art.
