Introduction: City of Sarasota's Economic Development Office, Amaryllis Park Neighborhood Association, Newtown Nation, Inc., and other partners are hosting the 4th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at Fredd "Glossie" Atkins Park located at 2431 Veronica Allen Place, Sarasota, FL 34234.

The Annual Newtown Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony began four years ago to celebrate the accomplishments of the community and brighten up the area for the holidays. This year during the Covid19 pandemic, the tree will be featured as a beacon of hope for the area, especially for the children and the elderly at such a crucial time in our history.

For this year’s event, we are collecting toys for the children. Your donations may be sent or dropped off at:
