Native Plants for Birds

  • Introduction: This free program is geared toward youth and adults and will educate participants on a wide range of topics. Learn about composting, recycling, red tide, wildlife, plants and more through educational talks and activities.
Participants will learn about native: 
  • Shrubs, trees, and grasses that birds use.
  • Plants that flower and attract insects.
  • Food that birds eat and feed their young with.

Hosted by Wilma J. Holley. Ms. Holley is the Program Specialist from the University of Florida - IFAS Extension and Sustainability for Sarasota County.

Each program will start at 10:00 a.m. and participants are asked to meet at the Arlington Park & Aquatic Complex Front Office, 2650 Waldemere St.
