SMA Raiders 2nd Annual Rise and Run 5k is scheduled for Feb 16, 2019, at Payne Park in Sarasota at 7:30 am. Enjoy awards, raffles, food, music, and Starbucks in support of the Raiders and the Jr. Raiders programs at Sarasota Military Academy. Registration begins Friday, August 31, 2018.

Raiders can best be described as an extreme adventurer sport made up of a team of 10, that compete in events involving running, obstacles, backpacks, and other types of competitive activities/weights. Visit smaraiders.com to learn more about the program.

In 2017, we hosted our inaugural 5k Rise and Run event which was orchestrated by SMA seniors Brianna Trecartin and Erick Barnard. This event was held to support the IB and Raider programs. Graduating in June of 2018, they have passed the torch to the next generation to continue the Rise and Run this year.
